ABOUT THIS DESIGN
Tuatha Dé Danann – the People of the Goddess Danu, were a race of divine beings, said to have inhabited Ireland before the occupation of the Gaels or Celts. They were skilled in magic and in Druid lore. In Wales they are called the Tylwyth Teg – the Fair Folk…
The Celts were a people who lived close to nature. The cycle of the seasons, cosmos, earth, elements, plants, animals, humanity, and otherworldly beings, are expressed throughout Celtic mythology and religion. In this design, the people of Danu are woven into the ancient cross-symbol creating a mandala celebrating the Spirit in Nature and inter-connection of all living things. The four fire festivals, equinox and solstice mark the turning of the seasons.

Some of you ask if you can buy “just the tile”, and we have been happy to help – and sold those to you – with a disclaimer as of how well it may or may not hold up if tiled into your home:)
NOTE:) Our TILE makers say “well suited for areas subject to regular cleaning such as kitchen backsplashes, bathrooms, showers“)
But since we have created these as ART DISPLAY – and as we do not have experience .. yet… with how they would hold up to regular cleaning – we do not necessarily recommend using our ART TILES for backsplashes needing regular cleaning. We will update this info soon!

    We have chosen METAL TRIVET FRAMES as ART FRAMES as a contemporary stylish look.
  • These are not intended as classic “Trivet” use – do not put hot items on the tile:)
  • Made from IRON METAL soldered into frame shape – with black semi-gloss baked in finish.
  • Some variations in soldering and finish are part of the hand made look:)
  • Small – 4.25″ tile – Iron Frame approx 7 1/4″ x 7 1/4″ x 1/2″
