ABOUT THIS DESIGN
Jen’s original design “Celtic Tree of Life” represents the interconnection of all things. Roots and Branches create the circle of life. The Ancients envisioned the entire cosmos in the form of a tree whose roots grow deep in the ground, branches reaching high into the heavens. Also known as the World Tree, the primal Mother Tree was regarded as all-nourishing, all-giving, involved in the creation of the universe and the origin of the first man and woman. In the border motif the pot represents this Source, or Earth Womb, also symbolized as the Grail, or Cauldron of Regeneration in Celtic mythology. The interlacing branches symbolize the Celtic belief in the Continuity of Life…

Some of you ask if you can buy “just the tile”, and we have been happy to help – and sold those to you – with a disclaimer as of how well it may or may not hold up if tiled into your home:)
NOTE:) Our TILE makers say “well suited for areas subject to regular cleaning such as kitchen backsplashes, bathrooms, showers“)
But since we have created these as ART DISPLAY – and as we do not have experience .. yet… with how they would hold up to regular cleaning – we do not necessarily recommend using our ART TILES for backsplashes needing regular cleaning. We will update this info soon!

  • Some variations in soldering and finish are part of the hand made look:)
