ABOUT THIS DESIGN
Jen’s original design “Celtic Tree of Life” represents the interconnection of all things. Roots and Branches create the circle of life.
Britain was once covered in extensive oak forest, and reverence for Trees is at the heart of Celtic spirituality. Druids had their teaching centers in the midst of Oak groves, and the words for wood and wisdom are similar (Welsh gwydd and gwyddon)…. The ‘Tree of Life’ is an esoteric philosophy common to many cultures and mythologies. The Ancients envisioned the entire cosmos in the form of a tree whose roots grow deep in the ground, branches reaching high into the heavens. .. The interlacing branches symbolize the Celtic belief in the Continuity ….

Some of you ask if you can buy “just the tile”, and we have been happy to help – and sold those to you – with a disclaimer as of how well it may or may not hold up if tiled into your home:)
NOTE:) Our TILE makers say “well suited for areas subject to regular cleaning such as kitchen backsplashes, bathrooms, showers“)
But since we have created these as ART DISPLAY – and as we do not have experience .. yet… with how they would hold up to regular cleaning – we do not necessarily recommend using our ART TILES for backsplashes needing regular cleaning. We will update this info soon!

  • Made from IRON METAL soldered into frame shape – with black semi-gloss baked in finish.
  • Some variations in soldering and finish are part of the hand made look:)
